The City of Bessemer invites you to tour our Downtown Bessemer National Historic District. The buildings you will see date back to the boom of the steel industry in central Alabama and represent a period of fast development in this Marvel City.

This building was constructed in two sections in 1905 and originally housed the Huey-Hosey Grain & Grocery and J. R. Waldrop, a grocery wholesaler.
